Each Open House will begin at 8:45 a.m. The program begins with a brief welcome and overview from the Head of School, Hench Murray. These brief remarks are followed by tours of the school hosted by Woodlynde student ambassadors who not only show points of interests to visiting families but also share their own perspectives on their experiences at Woodlynde. After the tours, there are question and answer sessions with the school directors for both lower school and middle and upper school during which families can focus specifically on how Woodlynde might be appropriate for their child. Current Woodlynde Parent Ambassadors are also on hand throughout to answer questions based on their experience at school.
Open Houses provide both a general overview and a chance to ask specific questions about any aspect of the school program, including those related to how well we will meet the student's needs and interests. The school directors, the Admissions staff and the Parent Ambassadors are all available for informal conversations after the Q&A sessions conclude. Most families choose to schedule formal visits with the Barbara Zbrzeznj, Director of Middle and Upper School Admissions, or Kathy Hoffmaster, Director of Lower School Admissions, before leaving.
